Dewey-Humbolt, located about 12 miles east of Prescott and 85 miles north of Phoenix, sits at an elevation of 4,556 feet. Dewey and Humboldt were two distinct communities until 2004, when they were combined and incorporated into the current town.
According to the Town of Dewey-Humbolt website, “The Council is committed to maintaining the rural flavor of the area (residential lot sizes are typically greater than 1/2 acre with most areas 1.6 acres or greater). The Town motto is — ‘Arizona’s Country Town.’ ”
The fourth of the communities making up the “Quad Cities” (sometimes called the “Prescott area”), land and home prices in Dewey-Humbolt tend to be the lowest, just behind Chino Valley.
